Edit PDF text directly on the page

Fix a typo, update a date or change an amount without the original file. Click the text and type: the line keeps the PDF’s own font when it has those letters, and it all happens on your device.

    Frequently asked questions

    Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Fizzdoc does the work inside your browser tab, using open-source engines compiled to WebAssembly and JavaScript. Your file is read from your device, processed locally, and the result is saved straight back to your device. You can check this yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab, and run a job — no request carries your file.

How do I edit text in a PDF without changing the font?

Click the line and type. In most PDFs, Fizzdoc rewrites the line inside the PDF with its own font, size and colour, as long as that font already has every letter you type. If one is missing, that line uses the closest standard font (sans-serif, serif or monospace) at the same size and position.

    Is the original text removed?

When the line is rewritten in the PDF’s own font, yes: the old wording is replaced in the file. With a standard font, and with White-out, the original is only covered. For sensitive information, use Redact PDF.

    Is Fizzdoc free?

Yes, and it stays free: no sign-up, no watermark, no daily limit and no premium tier. Fizzdoc is open source under the Apache-2.0 license, so anyone can run their own copy.
